Desperate Trump Dangles $1 Million Bounty for Voter Fraud Tips Just Days Before Midterms

With Election Day for the 2026 midterms approaching, President Donald Trump is dangling a massive $1 million reward for tips about alleged voter fraud — escalating his election-fraud rhetoric just as Americans prepare to head to the polls.

In a Monday afternoon Truth Social post, Trump promised to pay anyone who reports voter fraud in past elections or the upcoming midterms, provided the tip leads to an arrest and conviction.

“Anybody reporting Voter Fraud in the past Elections, or the upcoming 2026 Midterm Election, will be paid $1,000,000 upon the arrest and conviction of those that created the Fraud!” Trump wrote.

The announcement comes amid a broader push by Trump to cast doubt on the integrity of American elections, even as state officials have repeatedly been forced to respond to his claims.

Trump has spent years insisting that widespread fraud cost him the 2020 presidential election — a claim that has not been substantiated by evidence sufficient to change the outcome. Now, with control of Congress at stake, he is once again putting election fraud front and center.

Earlier this year, Trump warned of what he called “shocking vulnerabilities in our election infrastructure.” He pointed to a voter-registration case in Michigan dating back to 2020 and criticized California’s mail-in voting system, suggesting ballots were “floating aimlessly.”

The Department of Homeland Security has also said it identified thousands of noncitizens on voter rolls in California, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. But the presence of someone on a voter-registration list does not, by itself, establish that the person voted illegally.

Trump’s latest reward announcement adds another layer to his escalating focus on alleged election misconduct. The $1 million offer is tied to an arrest and conviction, but the president’s post did not provide evidence of widespread fraud in the upcoming midterms.

The reward comes as Trump has also inserted himself into a legal fight over Alaska’s U.S. Senate election.

On Thursday, the Justice Department filed a lawsuit challenging the state’s election procedures over the presence of a candidate whose name resembles that of Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan. The filing argues that the name similarity could create confusion and affect the outcome if Sullivan loses to Democrat Mary Peltola.

Trump later acknowledged that he personally pushed for the legal challenge.

“I’m the one who said do it,” he told reporters Friday.

The lawsuit seeks to intervene in how the election is handled before voters have even settled the contest at the ballot box.

The president says he wants to expose wrongdoing. But his repeated claims about stolen elections — including his false assertions about 2020 — have fueled concerns that his administration is laying the groundwork to challenge results that do not go his way.
